BLUE AND DEEP (a requiem for Tim Stone) by Jonathan Torres
Please don’t wither you old calico cat warmer weather and good old summers coming These old bald tires hit the wet road running I can run with them
Tim you found your guilty friend trying to hide from God in the blue bonnets again just before the sun rises sing this storm child but I’m still empty my friend
I remember that day the autumn sunlight’s you face we heard that morning break our silence
Please don’t let Jerry’s fingers ever stop strumming cause it keeps me from something I don’t want to relive Tim I will write this song for you
Tim you found your guilty friend trying to hide from God in the blue bonnets again just before the sun rises sing the storm child but I’m still empty my friend
I remember that day the autumn sunlight’s you face we heard that morning break our silence
Tim we will play this song for you till our fingers are black and bruised Bar tender call your last, these songs end, but our blues they’ll last.
Tim you found your guilty friend trying to hide from God in the blue bonnets again just before the sun rises sing the storm child but I’m still empty my friend
Those eyes are closed now but I know they still see Eyes blue and deeper than we’ll ever know From this world you are free ( my friend)

My Vision of Tim By: Danielle Hicks 9-26-03
Tim came to me last night, but not as me to you. In a vision he said, “This is what my friends should do. Ya’ll know I didn’t always live a Christian life, or attend church. Now I must work through you, because I love my friends so much. Not everyone gets a chance while riding in a car, To ask forgiveness for his sins and be taken by far. I’m thankful for a graceful God that gave me that chance. Now I come to you in just this last glance, Tell all my friends and your friends too Make peace with God so I can be with you. As I am waiting in heaven with friends and love-ones dear, I watch over you, so you can have no fear. Put your faith in God and you’ll be heaven bound For the greatest reunion when the trumpet sounds. So now your friend must say good-bye, but not for long in God’s eye.” Then I awoke and I knew, Tim gave a message for me and you. As we comfort each other in this great loss, Tim’s new wisdom came with a cost ‘Cause Jesus died on Calvary, to make a heaven for you and me. Tim wanted me to say “Salvation first--Do It Today!”
